We prefer to use original or recycled materials whenever possible. When new materials are
needed (or preferred by our clients), we recommend sustainable, high-efficiency and eco-friendly
products. Examples include:
- Durable, long-lasting, eco-friendly, low or zero VOC paint
- High-efficiency insulation including blown in recycled news paper insulation
- Energy efficient, double-paned windows and transoms-casement windows
- High-efficiency appliances
- Energy efficient doors
- Sustainable wood flooring (bamboo, cork, etc.)
- High efficient heating and A/C
Landfills are full of classic American architecture. We have developed relationships with
architectural salvage stores in our area (see our partners page) to lessen this burden on the
environment. Recycled wood, brick, marble, tile, etc. can be used for most projects. Doors, trim,
cabinets and tubs can be refinished and restored to their original charm. The quality of these
materials is unmatched and will give your home a unique character.
Don't throw out that old sink, bathtub, solid wood door or original trim. If you plan
to remodel and remove original material from your home, please call us first! We will
save you time and money by removing these items from your home at no cost or we can give
you an estimate to repair or refinish the material.
