The Stock Group- Environmentally Friendly, Before It Was Trendy
Cornices are some of the most striking items on your home, but in the 60's, 70's,
and 80's they were often covered in aluminium or vinyl capping.  Hiding the
classic wood details below.  Often when we take off the capping the Cornice is in
great shape.  Some times not.  Either way, we can help.  From building a
Cornice that did not even exist in the first place, to fixing yours up.

All Cornices get scraped and sanded thoroughly.  All seams are caulked with
siliconized caulk.  The wood is inspected through out and repaired or replaced
as need.  All the wood is painted with MAB Superbond primer, then painted to
your specifications with MAB Seashore.

A key detail! Painters who just paint your cornice may or may not do a good
job, but when the wood needs replacing or the drip channel that is tied into the
roof is shot, they rarely fix it.  We have experience in roofing, masonry and
carpentry along with working on older homes.  If wood is damaged, we don't just
jamb a bunch of caulk in there and paint it, we fix it.  We want your cornice to
last another 100 years.

Memphis St., Port Richmond- This cornice was
almost completely missing. We helped the home
owner find new corbels on line and from salvage
shops.  When then rebuilt the cornice and tied the
shutters into the cornice.
